Anyone had their teeth whitened? Wwy recommend?

Really would like to have my gnashers whitened.

Got a quote off the dentist for £250 for them to do a tray fitted for my teeth that I take home and do myself. I'm assuming it's a gum shield type thing. ( briefly spoke to the receptionist about it)

But there's loads of cosmetic places and salons that do it too.

If you've had yours done, what treatment did you have and where? And would you recommend it? Anything I need to know / consider?

Are you on groupon? They are always doing offers for teeth whitening on there. My sil had it done and it looked aces.
That said, I've had good results with Crest whitening strips.

I had mine done in Thailand - laser whitening. Worked really well, even a few years later they are a little whiter than they were before, and I have bashed them with black coffee and red wine. I have quite sensitive teeth and it did hurt, but then it only lasts an hour.

I'd go with Groupon if I was going to do it again (might just get the courage for my birthday this year).
