I recently discovered this and like the effect. Is there any particular brand that some of you would recommend?

What does it do?

rosyposyandc · 22/07/2012 20:24

It gives you the effect of hair dried in sea air so it goes quite wavy in a natural way.

Tony & Guy used to do a good one but thats

mrssmooth · 22/07/2012 20:29

Meant to be: thats going back a few years (silly phone!) Lee Stafford stuff is usually good but dont know if theres a sea salt one in the range!

Msarsebiscuit · 22/07/2012 20:31

I have a Boots Umberto Giannini ( that may be the wrong spelling ) one that's ok, I've seen KMS California Salt Spray recommended so I'm going to give that a whirl

NarcolepsyQueen · 22/07/2012 20:33

Label M for Toni and Guy is excellent.

Gill79 · 22/07/2012 20:33

Sounds great - I want some!!

ENormaSnob · 22/07/2012 20:38

I have the Toni and guy one in the silver bottle.

I do like it but it makes my hair crunchy.

singaporeswing · 22/07/2012 20:41

Lee Stafford does have a great one, I currently use an Umberto Giannini one in a black and silver bottle. Gives great texture without being sticky or weighing hair down.

ChablisLover · 22/07/2012 20:48

Bumble and bumble meant to be good.

justabigdisco · 22/07/2012 22:24

I second Label M at Toni & Guy, I'm going to try Bumble & Bumble when my current bottle runs out though.

I've got the KMS one. It gives my hair loads of body. I put it on before blowdrying. I've also used it on my daughter's hair. It made doing a ballet bun, prior to an exam, so much easier.

ujjayi · 23/07/2012 07:20

I appreciate this may not work for everyone but I recently stopped blowdrying my very fine and dry hair and let it dry naturally using Kerastase Volume Activ spray. I pull my hair on to one side, as though making a low side ponytail and twist it. Whilst it is drying I intermittently scrunch the roots to give some lift and then re-twist the length. It gives me the same effect as sea salt spray without any crunchiness. My hair is in better condition than it has been in years :)

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/07/2012 07:46

Label M at Toni and Guy. Bumble and Bumble is not as good as the Label M.

justabigdisco · 23/07/2012 08:12

These are good tips! I find the label M one is non crunchy and it smells lovely (the Toni &Guy one from boots is ok, but a bit crunchy). Will look at KMS too.

anniewoo · 23/07/2012 09:33

Oohh Lee Stafford's conditioner smells divine- wish he'd bring out a perfume of it

Msarsebiscuit · 23/07/2012 09:47

I have to say that I rate a fair few of Lee Stafford's products at Boots including that I Hate My Hair The Day it's Washed spray which was recommended on here and is yet another Style & Beauty fuelled purchase of mine.

whitelillies · 23/07/2012 09:53

I have the bumble and bumble one and find its great - need to used plently of conditioner though as I find it dries it out a bit.
