It's not done to wear hats or facinators so does one wear anything to a wedding now? Broaches, bows?
Thanks

Just fabulous hair

PerryCombover · 22/07/2012 10:08

Perhaps jewelled headpiece if wearing a deco style/era dress
Otherwise as Cyb says

sleepdodger · 22/07/2012 22:45

Thank god hats have gone out of fashion.

I don't have "hat hair".

Ruprekt · 22/07/2012 22:51

Messy side bun with or without a little something clipped into it or a beaded headband type thing.

Such as <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=messy+side+bun&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1R2ACAW_en&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=yP75vR0fL9sChM:&imgrefurl=www.hairstylesvane.com/messy-bun-hairstyles/&docid=U485mXtQvoKuxM&imgurl=www.hairstylesvane.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Side-messy-bun-hairstyles1.jpg&w=344&h=515&ei=RRUNUNmrLOeY1AWXu9HbCg&zoom=1&biw=1311&bih=593" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this or <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=messy+side+bun&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1R2ACAW_en&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=1zLHXOqKeDyD2M:&imgrefurl=inthethickofit-kristin.blogspot.com/2009/03/messy-side-bun.html&docid=A3m3eiR8OXeoCM&imgurl=4.bp.blogspot.com/_qKFQlIfHDI4/Saybmat48JI/AAAAAAAAAwc/Jnv0laP8MWc/s320/messy_buns_image_244_319.jpg&w=244&h=310&ei=RRUNUNmrLOeY1AWXu9HbCg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=214&vpy=232&dur=240&hovh=248&hovw=195&tx=98&ty=146&sig=108958192503075448290&page=2&tbnh=129&tbnw=102&start=28&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:28,i:179&biw=1311&bih=593" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this

I have one and love it, and I know I m gushing but the girl , Elizabeth I think is her name, is really lovely, she went out of her way to get stuff to me last year when I wanted it for a ball. (I know she was getting a sale out of it, but ye she was really nice about it!)

whitelillies · 23/07/2012 10:22

I love the messy side bun gnocchi, so you know how to DIY one ?

GnocchiNineDoors · 23/07/2012 10:28

I only had one for my wedding day, and a friend did it, but I got something a bit like this and basically gathered all my hair in a side ponytail, kept the end tucked up in the bobble and then clipped this on.

Looked better than you would imagine on the photo Ive linked. I'll see if I have a photo to put on my profile. They are expensive (I think) and Ive never been one to use fake stuff before (tan, hair, nails etc) but it was perfect for making my hair look brilliant!

GnocchiNineDoors · 23/07/2012 10:43

Right, have put a photo on but they are peretty small. All the curls are the hairpeice, I literally had a just above shoulder length cut so it's all clipped to the smallest ponytail Grin
