Talk to me if you've had hair loss (telogen effluvium)

My hair has been shedding for a few months - not to do with post partum shedding. I just notice a lot more hairs all over the place - and if I run my hands through my (curly) hair, a few come out.

It just seems more noticeable. I've had bouts of it before, but not for this long - 3.5 months.

Any thoughts?

Get your iron levels checked ...when I am low in iron I shed.
Try a months course of Spatone.
Also can be age related my mane also curly is getting thinner as I get older.

i had this through work-related stress a few years ago, was very worrying, i was sure i was going to go bald and ended up ill with the stress of it all (on top of original stress lol)

and after no joy from my doctors who didnt seem to give a shit, i went to a private trichologist (sp?) who said it was this and advised me to take iron tablets called florisene, and after a few months it went completely back to normal.
