Converse and (don't lynch me please) bootcut jeans?

I think this is an OK look - nice jeans, converse, good top etc. However I see so many posts on here about bootcuts being the work of satan that I'm beginning to wonder if I am hideously out of touch. I don't suit skinnies AT ALL. I like straight leg jeans but not with cons so tell me dear style gurus; should I be flogged for my bootcut crimes? Smile

Boot cuts HAVE to be long enough and worn with only converse. NO ANKLE FLAPPERS or naff frumpo mum black ankle boots and fleece

As you were

Ah this makes me feel so much better. I feel somehow vindicated!

cybbo is spot on.

I wear slim or straight leg with my converse.

If wearing bootleg they must be long and nearly touching bottom of heel - no ankle length bootlegs....none, not ever.

FoofyShmooffer · 20/07/2012 16:28

No floggins here.

Although I wear mine with flares cos their a bit more, well, flared.
Probably look a right old sight.

I think boot it's are fine if they're long and teemed with good shoes. They look good with converse.

I think boot-cuts are fine if they're long and teamed with good shoes. They look good with converse.

Damn iPhone autocorrecting all my posts this week! I give in!

cocolepew · 20/07/2012 16:32

Long is good. Marks had really nice looking skinny bootcuts in. Alas I'm too fat atm to try them.

mirpuppet · 20/07/2012 20:03

Fine.

Trills · 20/07/2012 20:08

Are your jeans horribly faded?

Do they show a good inch of ankle/sock?

If you say no to both, no problem.

People who say "bootcuts jeans are frumpy" are either making silly generalisations or are terribly unimaginative.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 20/07/2012 20:13

I'm with trills on dark, dark blue jeans not faded or light jeans.
