The 'frump' thread has got me thinking, and I don't like the conclusion.

I'm 5ft size drifting towards 12, with chunky legs, flabby tummy and untoned. I was once an hourglass but can state a lot of the sand has flowed through (more ways than one). Pudgy rather than fat.

I'm early 30's, clear pale pink skin and nice dark hair. I'm not that interested in fashion and shopping really, hate feeling 'in costume', and shoes need to be comfy. Basically I want something for nothing - to look nicer without making too much of an effort.

If you're like me what do you wear?

I've asked myself similar question following that thread, I'm same shape and colouring as you but bigger.

I've posted my current wardrobe for an appraisal, but will check here too.

You aren't alone at least, sorry havnt got answers.

Chewbecca · 20/07/2012 13:51

you are not alone, another one here, only bigger Sad.

originalplurker what do you mean you've posted your current wardrobe for appraisal? Where can I see it in other words! Always looking for inspiration.

24HPP what do I wear? Jeans mostly. With nice tops, as nice as possible plus high heels if evening. It's an incredibly broad question!

Originalplurker · 20/07/2012 14:11

chew it's just a list, here. I'm in jeans mostly, I think I'm prob frumpy half the time. I never understand folk who are all dolled up for Asda, maybe I'm just lazy! Anyway, I'll try to make more effort. I think I'll buy some mid heels with an almond toe this next season.

PS them fashioned threads where they all linking all sort of stuff scare me.
My next directory has just arrived too.

Fliss55 · 20/07/2012 14:57

Another one here ...

On advice had a look at the Does my bum look 40 in this blog and being 5ft 12-14, couldn't wear half that stuff :(

Originalplurker · 20/07/2012 20:38

Hmmm? No advisors along yet?

24HourPARDyPerson · 20/07/2012 20:48

Yes Fliss me too! I wouldn't mind my bum looking forty if it was six inches higher than it currently is.

Pshaww. That blog lady has no hurdles to jump, I'm looking for something abit more...challenging

24Hour.. you sound like me.. I am too lazy to get'dressed up' in what you describe pretty well as 'in costume'. I'm a very untoned sz 16, I live in Gpa Curvy jeans (v v flatterng) converse (I don't care what people say, they're a good understated fallback) and 3/4 length plain black t's. MIn effort, no make up, I have v short funky chopped hair, I'm up and out in about 10 mins and I'm happy with how I look. Sick with what makes you comfy!

paddingtonbear1 · 20/07/2012 20:53

Hello! I have no advice I'm afraid as I'm the same size and shape... and don't have a clue. My main form of transport is a bike so half the time I'm in jogpants or cycling clothes!
My next directory arrived too, but I'm not mad keen on most of the stuff in it... either that or I think, 'I can't wear that'! My dd always gets more stuff.
