So where do you get those "nude" court shoes? Or best buys?

The ones with a slight platform like The Duchess of Cambridge always wears? I have a few notes to spend (up to 100 quid at a push) on a decent pair of new work/posh shoes and I thought something along those lines might be versatile.

Before someone suggests that I go google, I suppose my question is more what brand or make of that shoe should I go for, given a) I never normally spend more than 30 quid in Clarks so am clueless with smarter brands and b) I have wide feet (not comedy wide, just on the wide side) so comfy makes are a bonus.

Any help from you fashionable lot much appreciated! Thanks.

Go on ebay, and look for the Next wide nude shoes - always loads on there for some reason. They are v comfy and look great on

NoWayNoHow · 18/07/2012 21:55

I know her's are LK Bennett, but they're all over the place. I'm sure i saw some in Dorothy Perkins... Also try Barratts, ASOS, and Dune.

Oh! Ebay! I can spend the saving on a fascinator for the wedding I have next week although I recall fascinators are old hat now (ha) aren't they? What is it instead? Hair Brooches? A cupcake cunningly pinned atop of a victory roll?

Interesting that hers are LK Bennett. I used to have a pair of LK Bennett knee highs which were brilliant. I got them reheeled so many times they ended up two inches shorter and like wizened elf shoes, pointing upwards at the toe. But still I loved them.

Aldo always have loads. Around 80 pounds-ish.

toboldlygo · 18/07/2012 22:09

Best pair I ever had were from the New Look wide fit range, £18. Could walk for miles in them.

MoonlightandRoses · 18/07/2012 22:12

Aldo, Bertie, Pied a Terre, Nine West or Dune are always good for comfortable, heeled shoes. Few possibilities below:

Aldo
Dune peep-toe
Dune mid-heel court
Nine West, but platform bit is wood
Nine West but £5 over budget

PrincessOfChina · 18/07/2012 22:18

I got some from Jones the Bootmaker a few weeks ago. They're sooooo comfy and the heel is not crazy high (I guess it's about 3 inches but most are higher than that).

Best bit was that although they cost £130 they gave me them in a sale carrier bag so DP didn't quiz me Grin
