Are there any coloured skinnies that don't make my lower legs look like over-filled sausages?

I'm seriously hankering for a pair of either red or green skinnies. I'm 5'7", 32" leg and size 10 in Next jeans. My problem is that my lower legs are quite muscly and I find that skinny jeans tend to be too skinny and make my lower legs look bigger than they actually are (or, if I'm honest, highlights just how big they are ).

So, anyone in the same boat who has found some not-so-skinny skinnies in a range of lovely colours?

La Redoute straight leg coloured jeans are a good bet. I have them in pink and purple. I also find that sizing up in H&M gives a good fit in their skinny jeans.

I have the same issue - my thighs and calves are the same size, so skinnies are tight on the calf and baggy on the thigh and arse.

I got a pair in Topshop that were OK, although still a little baggy on the thigh not so noticable as some others.

Callisto I share your measurements but haven't found a style that would look truly good on me. Something about the high lycra content of the skinnies makes them look strange. And it's not just me - just saw someone on the street wearing mint skinnies - they looked terrible. Really unforgiving.

I have had much better luck with Zara cigarrette trousers (mine are emerald green) - sizing one size up from my normal one avoids the wrinkly sausage look.

I know, I've seen skinnies on waif-like teenagers with teeny matchstick legs that look terrible. Maybe it is down to cheapness, like with leggings (not that I would ever wear leggings anyway).

I like warehouse ultra skinny coloured jeans. I haven't got the skinniest of legs and they are quite flattering.
