Is there such a thing as a shampoo that contains a bit of hair dye to refresh the colour?

Average, marvellous! (but wear gloves, or you'll stain your hands)

Itdidntworkout · 17/07/2012 15:18

Aveda, not average!

Horsemad · 17/07/2012 15:20

What sort of colour? You can make your own if it's something like red etc.

Horsemad · 17/07/2012 15:34

I'm a brunette originally, but have my hair a sort of caramel colour (coloured at the hairdressers) now.

Superdrug have their own brand, in a little silver bottle. I really like it. It's quite cheap and lasts a few washes.

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 17/07/2012 15:37

Ah ok, I think you'd struggle then. I just know girls who have red hair etc who mix a bit of their normal dye in with shampoo or conditioner to help slow the fading. But that's semi-perm vegetable dye, not a dye you'd have to mix up or anything.

Thanks anyway Scarlet Smile

Yellow I'll have a look for that next time I'm in town, thank you!

Oh and I think John Frieda does one too - Brilliant Blonde or something?

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 17/07/2012 15:44

yellowraincoat - I use the Superdrug Cool Ash blonde one as a toner. 97p and it's great for me, but that's just to neutralise brassy tones, rather than refresh a colour (turns my white hair purple if I leave it on too long!). I agree they're good though, so that might be worth a try.

yellowraincoat · 17/07/2012 16:02

Scarlet I used to use that one too, yes, had a couple of purple hair disasters too!

I now have gingery hair and the red one definitely brightens it up a lot.

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 17/07/2012 16:15

A quick shampoo usually sorts it out _

I have mine as white/silver as I can get it, so a little lilac tint doesn't really matter. Upkeep of roots is a hideous task though >_

True Scarlet I miss my white blonde hair :(
