Anyone got one of those Bob and Blossom Age T shirts? Sizing

Anyone got one of these

My DCs birthdays are close to each other in the early autumn, and I was thinking of getting them one of these tops each, with their ages, 1 and 4. Different colours though. I have a DD and a DS, so I don't usually match their clothes! In fact, they rarely have anything brand new.

However, these tops only come in the size appropriate to the number on the front ie: The "4" T shirt comes in size 4-5. The B&B website says the tops are sized large to fit for a whole year. BUT both DC are in larger clothes for their age (DS is 4 in Sept and is already in 5-6 tops) - both are 91st centile for height.

Can anyone tell me if they are really, really big, or will they be a waste of £16?

I looked at them for DS and didn't buy as they were big and think the 'one' Tshirt would still be big now at 19mo.

DS isn't tiny but not big either...

Not sure I've helped much. They sell them in Liberty and they are ultra helpful, maybe you could call and ask for a chest measurement and length then compare with existing tops?

My DD had a 2 for her birthday in November, still wearing it now and prob will be until 3. She is average size really. They are great quality btw, wash well etc

I think that they are big, but might be a waste if your children are that big. Are there any stockists near you so that you could try them on your DC?

The quality of them is really good.

They are big and wide, my tall and skinny six year still isnt wide enough or tall enough fit into his 5 t shirt that I bought for his party last year.

Whereas I'd say they're about right. My DS got a 5 one for his fifth birthday. He's 52nd percentile for height and weight and I reckon the t-shirt should fit till the end of this year. 112cm tall if that helps with your 5yo, and very average build - not skinny, not stocky.
I've found it superb quality (and it looks lovely)

i found they were really wide but short. Unless all of my children are unusually tall and slim, which i know they aren't.

They run quite large although not ridiculously so from memory. There's already quite a good sizing guide on their site which I'm guessing you've seen but you could ask them to measure more accurate width and length. I seem to recall doing that myself and they were very helpful.
