What skincare routine do you recommend?

I'm coming to the end of my current cleanser and moisturiser and wondered if there was anything better on the market to try.

I have a combination skin, dark circles around the eyes, with more lines appearing by the day lol. I have a large frown line and suffer from the odd monthly breakout.

I want a cleanser (creamy and a face wash) plus moisturiser and eye cream. Also a scrub and face pack, maybe an oil?

Does anyone recommend what they are currently using

I use Créaline and Crème Fraîche de Beauté and my difficult, sensitive skin is in great shape.

Check out Alpha H on either QVC or Salon Skincare. I think it's brilliant

JemimaPuddle · 16/07/2012 19:57

I have very very similar skin.
I use Emma Hardie balm at night and Philosphy purity made simple wash in the mornings. For dark circles I really recommend Alpha H absolute eye complex, it's helped lots with mine.
There are a few moisturisers I really like, Emma Hardie lighter lotion is lovely, Alpha H SPF 50 & decleor Hydrafloral are probably my favourites.
Scrub and face mask I use Alpha H again - microcleanse (scrub) and liquid gold mask.
I really like Decleor oils, LOVE the ylang ylang oil but the Neroli is lovely too.
Ive read about good results from Rosehip oil so I've ordered some today along with some essential oils to have a go at making my own night oil
Phew!! Sorry about the mammoth post, I'm a bit of a skin care junkie :).

FabMum1 · 16/07/2012 20:01

Is Alpha H safe for the skin?
Does it burn?

I haven't had any reactions to ithe liquid gold tingles a little but that'sThe Alpha H SPF 50 doesn't have any glycolic in it so no tingle or anything & they do quite a few products that have no AHAs in.
My skin doesn't often react to stuff though.
You can get kits from QVC fairly cheaply & send it back
If it doesn't agree with you or you don't like it.

You could also have a look at the forever young website. They have loads of products (with and without AHAs), they're really inexpensive and no parabens etc. I came across it after seeing it mentioned on the sizzlers thread and so far have only tried the Hylauronic serum but it's really lovely and I will defiantly be trying more from there.

I also love Emma Hardie cleanser. It's amazing. I use clarins lotus oil and liquid gold on alternate nights. La Roche possay 30spf and whatever moisturiser I can find. Still looking for holy grail moisturiser.

FabMum1 · 17/07/2012 19:36

Where can I get Emma Hardie and Alpha H?

Also, heard good things about La Roche and Clarins, but I never know where to start?

Liz earle. Nuff said.

TribbleWithoutACause · 17/07/2012 19:57

I agree with Gregs I've had terrible acne and was using the clinique anti blemish stuff. I decided to use up the sample of Liz Earle moisturiser and my skin looked amazing within a week. I also really rate the cleanse and polish as well. QVC often have special offers on it as well.

You can get a try me kit from the website as well. It's good if you want to try it out without spending lots of money.

FabMum1 · 17/07/2012 21:11

I'm now going to look on the LE website and try to find Emma Hardie and Alpha H

Fingers crossed

You will get all 3 on QVC. YOu can buy and return what you don't like even if you have used it.

QuinnFabray · 18/07/2012 13:01

Liz Earle breaks me out, every time.

I love La Roche Posay for toners. I alternate between the one for oily skin ( efflaclar ) and the one for sensitive skin ( toleriane ).

I love Alpha H balancing cream cleanser, and also Clarins extra gentle cream cleanser.

I love Clarins facial oils. They smell nicer than the Decleor ones in my opinion.

Basically, using the above products, I cream cleanse the make up off, cream cleanse again, then toner to get rid of any excess cream cleanser. Then a few drops of oil to moisturise.

OBface · 19/07/2012 10:43

Eve Lom is sooo much better than Liz Earle! I have similar skin to you OP and I feel the difference after one use.

It's a little on the expensive side but a pot will last you ages.
