Wellies for walking

Can anyone recommend any comfortable wellies for walking the dog? I live near a very muddy river and so walking boots are no good when it's like this. I have a pair of Hunters that I bought about 8 years ago and they were great but the tread has now worn off. So, I need a new pair but I've heard that the quality of Hunters isn't so great anymore - any ideas??

I have these. They are the best thing I have ever bought. They are completely waterproof, warm and I can walk for miles in them as they have a good vibram sole. I did baulk at the price when I first got them (about 4 years ago) but they have been worth every penny. I hose them down when they need a clean and wax them every so often. They also look very nice!

Country boots are great. Mine are so nice and warm, and much better for walking than Wellies. I have these here Cheaper end of country boot market, but doing the job great for me!

They do look good thanks, perhaps I should tear myself away from wellies! The thing that i like about them though is that we can walk anywhere - through the mud, straight across the stream, a bit in the river to encourage the dog to swim to get a bit cleaner...

You can walk everywhere in the leather ones too as they are waterproof. I walk through mud, streams and all sorts in mine. It all washes off afterwards.

Now I'm impressed! Thanks, I'll definitely check those out

Aigle do a range of specifically walking wellies. I have the Parcours Vario and they are excellent.

Hunters are cold, leaky and slippery!
