Red Lipstick

Is there such a thing as a red lip colour that suits any skin tone?

I want to try red but it scares me. Can anyone recommend a good starter? I have dark hair/eyes and medium skin.

Was out shopping the other day and I tried a red lipstick from Lancome. It's a new range of lipstick, which Emma Watson is the face of. I'm not actually sure of the name of this particular shade, but it's the one which Emma Watson is promoting. It really lasts!! It's a gorgeous colour! And it's one which I think would suit most.

Had this argument for months with best friend - skin tone/experts/etc. Finally went and picked up random lippy from Boots in annoyance. It was perfect! 'Pleasure Me Red' by Maybelline.
