Absolute Disaster with Fake Tan please help!

I knew I shouldn't have done it. My skin takes quite well to fake tan usually, I have olive skin and use a light tan and it looks fine, but this time around I used a spray and it's a total disaster. Not streaks, but thick likes of lighter and darker color. I am off on holiday on Tuesday, my legs look like zebra fur. What the hell do I do?

Got any exfoliant in or one of those exfoliant mittens? That might shift it

AuntFini · 15/07/2012 14:57

Have a bath and exfoliate.
If not get some of this www.superdrug.com/accessories/rimmel-sunshimmer-tan-eraser/invt/336863/&bklist= and next time you tan, use a mit!

Whitening toothpaste? I've never tried it but apparently it works.

I had this. with the spray. was recommended lemon juice. I didn't have any lemons so didn't do it, but I used exfoliating gloves and normal tooth paste and it was OK. I did it for about 5 minutes 2-3 times a day for a couple of days.

We are leaving on Wednesday so it will be ok by then I think, I have done the toothpaste and I think it has made the skin a bit lighter. Never. Do. Spray. Tan. Again.

Is fake tan ok to put on before a holiday? I am heating away in 2wks time and was going to fake tan!! My dh laughed @ me!!

thedoublek · 16/07/2012 22:22

If you can stand stripping off, the swimming pool will fade it a bit. No one at the public baths will notice your zebra skin! You made me laugh out loud because I'm the worst fake tanner in the world!!

Dr Jif

Grin

Seriously......I made a manky mess of my hands last year...vvv obvious. On a friends advice, I rubbed Jif on it. Cleared most of it off (so that I could go out in public anyway). Skin was a bit dry and uncomfortable but it was worth it. Maybe try that and a bath after to get it off your skin?
