Bikini Line Stubble Rash!!! HELP...holiday in August!

Ok how ridiculous is this? Yes i have a stubble rash. It appears that no matter what i do...dry shave or wax my bikini area (just around the front of my knicker line on my legs) i always seem to get a rash. Now i am not sure if this is cause the hair is starting to grow back and its getting irritated or what. But it looks rotten and not very feminine. I am going on holiday in August and want to sort it before then...what can i do? I get the ingrowing hairs i think that sometimes give little spots too,so i have to hook them out with tweezers. Its annoying me. Glad that i am currently single right now too!

When you say "dry shave" do you mean without any kind of gel or shaving cream? If so....ouch!!! No wonder you get shaving rash!

I have had great success with Veet sensitive cream. No problems with in-growing hairs or rash.

Don't know how wise a recommendation this is but as exfoliation is supposed to help with ingrowing hairs, perhaps try a really gentle exfoliate - one that is designed for the face so won't be quite as abrasive as a body scrub.

Hi :-) I have your solution....next time u shave...trim the hairs right down with scissors first carefully, have a hot bath to open pores, right at the end when all the waters out, soak your hair in baby shampoo (ph neutral) shave as normal and wash off after shaving with tepid / Luke warm water, not hot or cold and do not rub dry, just pat dry or allow to dry naturally. and do not get in a hot bath or shower or use any products in that region for 48 hours. used to have the same problem :( but since doing this, no spots/bumps/rashes.

Re waxing, I use sensitive lavender hot wax and a cooling balm straight after which seems to close the pores and make the area less irritated. When I wax, for 2 days after I wear short style knickers so there is no material rubbing against the newly waxed area x

Try using Tend Skin:

You apply after shaving/waxing and every day thereafter. I've found it brilliant at preventing ingrowing hairs/rash. It also helps to treat existing rash. A beautician recommended it to me years ago and I love it.
