Decent affordable epilator

I spent a good 20 minutes in Boots comparing epilators this morning but as with breakfast cereals there is just too much choice!
Lights, 40 tweezers or less, wet/dry, all body, just legs, with shaver, cheap or expensive.
Or having given in and bought 3 blades for my Quattro razor at £6.50 should I just shave some more?

I have the silk epi wet/dry one, its brilliant but not really cheap I'm afraid. You can do all your body with it.

I spent the morning doing the same,OP!

Perhaps I should just save up over the hairy season winter and invest next spring. Let's face it the chances of actually baring my legs much this summer are slim.

Don't go for anything less than 40 tweezers.Mine is about 20 or 24 and it takes ages.

Do you really need a wet/dry one? You'll be paying for the luxury? of using it in the shower. I've never quite understood this as it takes me ages to do and I'd have to sit in the shower to do my legsHmm.

Mine has a shaver which is useful.

If you do it over winter, by next spring your hair should be finer and you'll be used to the pain/discomfort and you might even get some hairless bits.

I do not need a wet dry one but does doing it in the bath help with pain and ease of removal?
Removing hair all winter! The mind boggles.

I am not sure, I think it is slight less painful, some areas hurt more that others!

According to Amazon reviews, the newest silkepil by braun is by far the best. It's a wet/dry, and apparently doing it in the bath or shower does hurt less.

They're currently half price, only 60 quid. I have a braun silkepil I've had for years and its fab, but will upgrade to the even fabber one when I get paid in two weeks.
Am happy to send you my old one then if you'd like it? It still works a treat.

Get one with a light, it's a must!

TheBeanAndTheBee · 12/07/2012 22:11

Oh and I don't see the point of getting a wet/dry one either....
