Rigby and Peller - rubbish sales model?

I have a couple of R&P bras already, and a gift voucher to get some more. I phoned to get an appointment to get trying on, and they're all booked up - "We have a couple of ladies coming in this afternoon already". From the sound of it, they book appointments of an hour so you can do lots of trying and checking. Even if it's only half an hour, that makes 16 customers a day. When I went in a while ago and said "I've been measured recently, can I have a look in the drawers please?" there were gasps as if I'd suggested stealing the bras off the fitting ladies themselves.

So essentially, you're allowed to look, but unless someone supervises your trying on, you're not actually allowed to spend any money? Am I misunderstanding horribly? Is that why the bras are so blimming expensive?!

Well their mo is bra fitting so I kinda think yabu iyswim

Fair enough, but surely if someone has been measured by them fairly recently, they should be allowed to have a rifle about and do some trying on? Otherwise, the staff time-to-bra purchase ratio must be immense.

I think YABU -they are known for well fitting bras, so they wouldn't want someone leaving the shop with something that wasn't spot on.

Go to M and S if you want a quick rifle Wink

I guess this voucher will have to keep burning a hole in my purse then...!

Hhhm, I see your point but their USP is great fit. Being measured doesn't mean all bras in that size will fit you. I went in for a t-shirt bra once - unpadded, plain cups. They found me various different styles before we agreed which particular one fitted best. It's a bit like shoes- just because you are a size 7 doesn't mean all size 7 shoes will fit you well.

However, if you already have a particular style and size, they will happily sell you duplicates/other colours without a fitting. I have done that with said t-shirt bra.
