:(

I've just booked a last minute holiday for in 5 weeks time. We weren't planning on going so I've let my body go to rack and ruin. I don't have time to lose fifty stone so what I need to do is make myself look as best as I can.

I need to make my skin/cellulite look less shite if I can and not look like a ham beast around the pool. I am lily-white, flabby and look generally rubbish.

Help me :(

30 day shred?
Bodyrock.tv?
Zuzana Light ZWOWs?

My preference being Zuzana. Look her up on Facebook and start doing the ten min workouts daily.

BupcakesandCunting · 11/07/2012 17:49

Oooh ten minutes I can do! Was thinking more of a magic potion that I could slap on my arse/thighs and instant Gisele-like legs would be mine but face facts, it's not going to happen

Go swimming! It will reconcile you with taking your clothes off in public and it is good for firming up all over.

Waxing, pedicure, manicure, eyelash dye, eyebrow shape, haircut: book now for just before you leave.

Check out the swimwear range at www.stateofmindactive.com.

They have lovely tankini tops and specifically, skirtini bottoms (with built in shorts) that will help you feel to feel confident both in the swimming pool and while you're out of the pool too. They also have swim-dresses which camouflage all your wobbly bits which you can wear over your own swimming costume (and you can swim in it too).

I just bought a few of their pieces and wore them on my holiday. For the first time, I didn't feel like a total heffalump by the pool or at the pool bar. Unfortunately, the photographs of the holiday still remind me that I have about 2 stone to lose though. Felt great at the time tho.....Wink

BupcakesandCunting · 11/07/2012 18:23

There are some nice bits on there Vagabond! :)

Definitely am thinking about eyelash dye, eyebrow dye etc. Detract from the thighs with the eyes Wink

I am so angry with myself. Last year I was a nice size 12. Since my last holiday I have eaten like there is no tomorrow and I've easily packed two stone on. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy?

Console yourself with the idea that whatever you do now you will look and feel much better than if you spend the next 5 weeks doing nothing :)

Agree that a quick 10 minutes a day is achievable and realistic and easily stuck to. I do squats whilst cooking dinner (really!) or brushing my teeth.

Walking will get your circulation moving and help shift/improve appearance of cellulite. Also, I have been using Soap & Glory's Sit Tight for the last week and am pleased with the results. It isn't a magic potion but they definitely look better than 7 days ago.

cybbo · 11/07/2012 19:22

Skirted swimwear looks weird and screams 'IM TRYING TO COVER BITS UP' and swim dresses? Are you queen Victoria?

I never thought I could wear a bikini but on here and in RL folk said, just bloody do it, honestly the sights you see on the beach you'll wonder what you were worrying about

I always say, do you remember anyone you saw on the beach or round the pool? Well no one will remember you or care what you look like

If you do want to lose a bit before you go myfitnesspal app is amazing

thestringcheesemassacre · 11/07/2012 19:30

You could lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks with a bit of calorie counting and a bit of cardio exercise. Or shred, yes shred.

And a bit of johnsons holiday sun, or some other fake tannery. Always make my wobbly thighs look better.

And yes agree with Cyb, forget the coverups. Just enjoy the time together. And get a swimming costume that fits you well. I got fitted for my by over zealous woman who put my in a suit that I wouldn't of chosen and it is so flattering.

this book has great tips. Otherwise, you could look at the fitness boards on pinterest for inspiration.

BupcakesandCunting · 11/07/2012 20:12

Thank you so much for the tips! :)

I actually bought a nice swimming costume from Wallis last week. It's very flattering, IMO. Sucks in the tummy and hoiks uo the norks.

It's the thighs that I hate. Why is it not OK to swim in 100 denier black opaque tights? :(

bupcake I feel your pain.

I go on holiday soon (next week but am in denial as I have done nothing and have deadlines loomimg)...and to a place where everyone will look super fit and georgous!!!

I have decided that I will only be stripped when lying on a sunbed. Any moving around will involve sarongs swiftly tied as a skirt.
