Due to cuts being made chez Funny I have to downgrade my usual Chanel to something under £25. Anyone have any tips? I tried No7 once before and didn't like it much.

I use Garnier BB cream - tis nice and not £

FauxFox · 11/07/2012 14:27

Although I would say that spending £25 on the chanel one which you know you like and will last for months is prob more frugal than getting through 5 different cheap versions that end up in the bin Grin

Barbara Daly Face Lift from Tesco is what I use, it's very light but makes skin look radiant even on these rubbish grey days.
The rest of my make up is from Bobbi Brown but this compliments it well and is a whole lot cheaper

FunnysInLaJardin · 11/07/2012 14:36

see Faux thats just what always happens. I have in the past binned a Mac one which was chalky and a No7 one which was just rubbish. I'll go and look at the garnier one.

Thanks wonky but we don't have a Tesco here!

Buy the Chanel and cut the cost of something else....

Fo to the Garnier BB site and get some samples OP along with getting some L'oreal BB samples from their site. I think it would probably be better to just get your Chanel. Have you got some Boots points to pay for it/enought to buy some work lunches so that you can put the money towards the Chanel?

I use Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser and I'm very happy with it. Used to use Clinique until they changed the recipe and it wasn't the same. The Bobbi Brown's about £27 and lasts for ever. They'll apply some for you if you book a session, and they didn't pressure me to buy loads of stuff.

There's some new Liz Earle make-up out now too, including a tinted moisturiser at £21 or so. Maybe worth looking at that, as her cleansing range is lovely.

Nivea Young Tinted Moisturiser.

Bloody brilliant and about £3.

bleedingheart · 11/07/2012 16:27

It probably is better to stick with what you know and scrimp elsewhere, however, that said I really like the Boots 17 BB, better than No.7 I think. I like Liz Earle's new one too

FunnysInLaJardin · 11/07/2012 17:11

Thanks everyone. I'll check out the nivea too, but suspect that I may stick with the Chanel. In the scheme of things finding £25 every few months won't be an issue, I just thought I ought to explore the alternatives, esp since I have gone from Clarins/Decleor nightcream to Nivea Q10 and found very little difference.

I have just today tried smashbox tinted moisturiser - £19.50 and seems really nice

singaporeswing · 11/07/2012 21:28

Another vote here for the Liz Earle one - swear it has also improved the condition of my skin too.

If you have a Poundworld they have a Revlon one in at the mo. It's lovely, I usually use the Daywear Plus tinted but this is almost as good and loads cheaper.
