Can anyone help me sort out my hands?

They work hard and don't get a lot of care and attention, but my main problem is that I have very thick cuticles. If I push them back, even after a bath and/or using cuticle remover they split and get all ragged which looks awful and can be sore.

A regular professional manicure would be lovely, but it's not going to happen, so what can I do to help myself?

I use a cuticle cutter, after watching when having a manicure she used the oil, then pushed cuticles back then cut them off.
Im fine with my nails but my hands are scrawny old lady hands

The main thing is to keep them soft and gently push them back with the corner of a towel after a bath.

The Body Shop Hemp hand cream is miraculous stuff.

But how do you keep them soft? As soon as I push them back they do all dry. I have the hemp handcream BTW - lovely

Have you got specific cuticle cream? I use a rose one from Avon, I keep it on the coffee table than when I watch telly I remember to do it every day.
