wash your face with plain soap and then rub a bit of the soap on your skin and leave it overnight (or toothpaste). not ideal as a long term skin care solution as it will dry your face out too much but hopefully in the short term it will dry the spot up enough for the special occasion.

Witch Hazel to dry it out.

Sudocreme applied thinly overnight.

Drink lots of water.

A woman who worked for a well known make up brand once told me that a secret ingredient that was used in their cleanser was alcohol. For zits pure vodka on a cotton wool ball does the trick.
I tried it and I suppose it might have dried it out a bit.

I know alcohol in cleanser is no secret by the way. It certainly does cleanse!

Whitch hazel gel is anti-bacterial and dries out spots.

Antibiotic ointment is brill. You can't buy OTC in UK but you can get Neosporin on eBay

Neosporin is fab stuff!
