I have just had my extentions taken out, so my hair is very fine. I have heard good things about the Label M volume foam, and i personally love the velcro sleep rollers for volume. Dont purchase off the website though, buy from sallys or ebay. (lot of unanswered complaints from on their facebook page)

But i hope someone comes along telling us how we can actually get thicker hair!

I have just had my 2nd DC in 2 years and I suffered horribly with hair loss after the first - I literally washed out handfuls the size of tennis balls In the shower.

I'm not sure there are any creams or masks that will prevent this from happening but what helped me was having my hair cut into a short blunt bob. The cut made my hair look thicker, especially the blunt ends and I'm sure the reduction in length helped too. There seemed to be less weight and therefore stress on the hair.

Waiting to see if it will happen again now I've had DS2 (a week old today!)

There isn't anything you can do. I lost a lot of hair after both pregnancies and have tried everything. It's grown back now, but is very short round the hairline (lost it mainly at my temples). Luckily I have curly hair so when it is down it's not too noticeable.

When it's up it looks like shit though!

I agree, I don't think you can stop it, but I found intensive conditioner helped prevent me pulling even more out when combing after washing, I used a kerastase one in a bright pink tub, it was amazing on my fine, v tangly hair. Think it was meant as a mask but I used it most days for a month or two after 3 DC's when hair loss stage was at it's worst.

When i washed my hair yesterday, it was coming out in clumps like you mention Snowborder It's awful, i have some clip-ins that i might curl & attach tomorrow!
