Alternatively titled: If you were going to make a cake in the shape of a Chloe bag, which one would you try to copy?

A paddington bag was a iconic IT bag by chloe.

trixymalixy · 09/07/2012 19:07

Definitely paddington.

Hopefully · 09/07/2012 19:08

Paddington.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 09/07/2012 19:24

Yep that's the one!

madammecholet · 09/07/2012 19:38

It's the chloe Marcie for me.. :)

wem · 09/07/2012 19:48

Interesting, I was all set to go with the Paddington. Is that more of a personal preference madammecholet? There seem to be a few versions of the Marcie, whereas the Paddington looks pretty singular.

wem - is it for someone in particular? Depending on how old they are, a paddington might not be the most iconic. It's been a while since it was an IT bag. Nowadays it's more the paraty or the marcie. the former is a v distinctive shape

wem · 09/07/2012 19:56

Ah, it's for a 15th birthday cake. Hmmm, the paraty or marcie look somewhat more achievable too :)

a fifteen yr old isn't going to remember the paddington - I would do the paraty. that's some sophisticated 15 yr old!

madammecholet · 09/07/2012 20:05

Agree with faustina, paraty or Marcie is far more recent for a teenager...

Itsgottabebags · 09/07/2012 20:11

You could do the Chloe lock which was quite iconic rather than just the bag itself.

wem · 09/07/2012 20:54

Looks like the paraty could be a winner. The brief I've been given is, 15th birthday, loves fashion/bags etc., called Chloe, how about a Chloe bag? So not entirely sure she's specifically into Chloe bags, I think the most important thing is the label with her name on it! I thought it was worth going for authenticity though Grin

oooh - ok. god that makes it quite hard doesn't it...hmmm....chloe bags aren't really a fifteen yr old thing. the only real designer bags I see on 15 yr olds are alexas, or knock offs of alexas. How about something everyone would recognise - like a chanel 2.55, and then her name in big fat gold letters where the CC would go?

wem · 09/07/2012 21:26

Hmm, I'll ask the person who's asked for it. It was her who said for it to be an actual Chloe bag with the Chloe label on it, but she said herself she doesn't know about this stuff either (I confessed ignorance!). I can't remember whether the idea was the girl would like the fact that the bag was a 'Chloe', or it was just the label/name that she thought would be good.

I think it's probably a good idea to go back for more info - your cakes look amazing by the way!

wem · 09/07/2012 21:41

Thanks! It's been a new experience posting in S&B today, on this and my other thread - I usually hang out in Baking :)
