How to do the asprin face mask??

Somebody recommended the asprin face mask to me but I need to know how to do it and how long to leave it on for ??

I put a couple of drops of rosewater (water also fine) on 4 non-coated aspirin, then add 1/2 a teaspoon of honey and the tinyest bit of cornstarch (corn flour) - about 1/4 of a teaspoon to stop it crumbling off my face. Put on, leave on for 10 minutes, dampen slightly with rosewater and scrub gently before rinsing off. DOne.

bump - cause I'd like to know if I can leave it on longer.

Sorry, I'm not answering your question but what is the asprin face mask supposed to do?

Is it the acid or whatever is that causes stomach ulcers in some people getting rid of old skin cells? I would like to have a go at this but I'm not keen on the honey...

Yeah, exactly is just a very, very light peel. sorts spots oot

Neither the honey nor the cornstarch are required, just makes it a bit less messy.

Giving it a go tonight, but instead of trying to make a past with honey etc think I will crush tables and mix them up in Sudo cream or something like that.

Jinx - sounds a bit risky! Who knows what chemical reactions there might be. Aspirin and water is fine, if crumbly. I think some people add yogurt but you'd think that'd reduce the acidity.

I find it amusing that you turn your nose at honey yet are perfectly happy to smother your face in Asprin.

I'm not turning my face at honey, I just think it is too messy.

Anyway have used 5 aspirins, crushed and added a little water and mixed up with sudo cream. Left it on for about 5 mins. Could feel a slight tingle. Definitely did not cause any irritation after it had come off. Finished with a moisturiser. This morning at work someone commented on how nice my skin looked so I guess it did something.
