Are they ok or not ?
If they are ok , what colour denim would you go for ?
I was thinking of a light weight denim jacket to pop on over day dresses , am I on the right track ?

I love mine, and wearing it over day dresses is exactly what I do.

Mind you, it's the same one I've had since I was 17 (am 33 now), so can't make any claims to being at all up to date.

i love mine, i wear it with maxi dress, i have levi's one, its very great

Cremolafoam · 07/07/2012 23:06

Got one today for my hols. Like it with my summer dresses

I have 2 -- a very old levi's (which is fade denim) and a very fitted one. Both are being worn quite a bit in this weather.

I would say go with classic but perhaps get it a bit more fitted than traditional ones.

Matalan had lovely Falmers ones.

is it for work? if not, you could try both dark and light-blue colours and see what suits you hair/skintone.

I had a fab faded corduroy powder blue one by Hilfiger which was all soft and distressed. Sold it on eBay last year for about £4 as it had gone out of fashion and been languishing in the wardrobe for years.

GUTTED.

If you bought it off me, I'll buy it back...

Thanks All .

Any recommendations for where I might buy a nice (non cropped) semi fitted one then ?
Has to be nice and soft too (not like the rigid denim I was forced to wear in the 70s Grin )

I have a lovely one from pepperberry. I only wear it when I am not wearing jeans. The jeans and denim look for me is a no.

Don't usually feel qualified to comment on fashion issues but I just bought a fab denim jacket from great plains, in the sale, which sounds like what you are looking for. Dark denim colour but light weight, really fitted. I got the extra small (am an 8 on top usually) so it is nice and neat but as it is quite stretchy, it is still comfortable and practical. Love it with the sleeves turned up a couple of times. Have a couple if maxi dresses and a long skirt which will be fab with it. In this weather though I will try and sneak leggings underneath!
