Please help me find some shoes for my wedding - money no object!

Well, within reason.....but am happy to splurge particularly if I will wear them again :o

Can anyone suggest some shoes to go with my wedding dress? Have been out looking today again but not found anything.....

Amongst others have tried Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Jimmy Choo, Mui Mui, Chanel, Russell & Bromley, DKNY, Gina... I don't think I can deal with wearing a pair of Louboutins all day sadly.

Am looking for something not too insanely high/platform-y, I like a peep toe, or a covered toe ideally, not too strappy, thinking maybe something metallic, silver tones rather than gold.

I can't link to my dress as it was a sample, but it's a full length ivory satin simple fitted column dress, quite 30's/40's in style.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Diane Hassall make gorgeous wedding shoes, none are full on metallic but I think there's one with silver embroidery and there's lots of peep-toe action and vintage styling.

I had a pair from here made. They are bloody lovely.

TheBeanAndTheBee · 07/07/2012 21:45

Had a look at Emma Hope, thought they were a bit 80's sadly, and yes have tried Gina too.....nothing....

Melba I'm not familiar with, will take a look now.

Thank you all!

I wore Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon shoes. They were a dove grey with a large pink heart on the top of the toes, edges in gold and were peep toes. I loved them; so comfortable and can be worn again!!

MikeLitoris · 07/07/2012 21:49

I love these. not exactly what you said you were looking for but I if I ever get married I will be wearing them.

bronze · 07/07/2012 21:54

Itsgottabebags · 07/07/2012 21:56

Mathew Williamson? Missoni? Christian Dior?

Itsgottabebags · 07/07/2012 21:57

Anya Hindmarch? Bottenga Venetta?

TheBeanAndTheBee · 07/07/2012 22:02

MikeLitoris those Valentino ones are amazing......! Could I handle being in them all day.....?

OP posts:
MikeLitoris · 07/07/2012 22:03

I would make myself handle them.

I'm not much of a heel wearer these days but I would definitely suffer for those beauties.

MikeLitoris · 07/07/2012 22:17

I also like the first two pairs on this page jimmy choo

TheBeanAndTheBee · 07/07/2012 22:20

I went to Jimmy Choo today - lovely but soooo uncomfortable on me! Otherwise I would have been sorted there. Any other thoughts much appreciated!

Second vote for Emmy - mine were from her Jenny Packham range. Gorgeous and very comfy!

Worn them lots post wedding as well.
