I have short hair that I like to spike/have messy.

To my shame I am still stealing my DH's hairgel

I know there must be other more suitable products, can you help??

I know I should ask my hairdresser but I'm concerned about getting conned into buying something that doesn't do what I want!

I have tried wax but prefer the way gel sticks it together iyswim...

Have you tried a hair putty? There's some available from Boots by Toni & Guy for around £7, I think.

Fibre putty or a matte paste would be good. Will last longer than gel and not be greasy like wax.
