i am going to wear for the first time ever, my birdie dress from Great Plains.

i am praying to the lord of St Moriz and im gonna get the pins out.....with nude courts, nude clutch. thought i might just wear one chunky bracelet in silver with it.....nothing else.

do we think it will look ok? or am i going to look a bit sad and like im trying too hard.?
its a night do. ive seen no one for 25 years.
its that or black skinny jeans and a swing top.....

Details-venue and so on.
Both sound fabulous Smile
I went for the second option because mine was in a pub and very informal.
None of us could get over how much better we all looked, what with the invention of hair straighteners and none of still thinking a man's m&s cardy was the height of fashion Grin

well, it is a pub but you can hire it out for parties etc..... looks a bit 'wine bar' rather than pub....its a saturday night in York so im guessing being an evening do if i am in a dress i wont look tooooooo silly.

i dont normally do dresses....but i think jeans may be a tad too informal....though saying that they are black....

dunno....
its this pub

We went to one for my old (all girls) school. Everyone was trying to look their best and so wore "slimming" black. It was like a funeral. Grin Not one girl wore a colour.

Grin at all in black!

The dress sounds lovely, go for it! I've got a school reunion next month but haven't got a clue what to wear. I'm hoping to ve half a stone lighter by then so I'll leave buying anything just now Wink

well i went. i wore the birdie dress. it was slightly odd because it was in a pub, i hardly recognised anyone but more to the point no one recognised me which was great.....ha ha ha
and im sure i was being hit on......Grin
i had to leave early though - i had far too much to drink, which is unlike me, i never normally get drunk! i was too charitable and i swapped some bloke half a bottle of red wine for my half a bottle of white - had i stuck with my white wine id have been fine!
never mixing wine again.....bluegh.....

That sounds like a success of sorts Grin

I (uncharacteristically) necked a botle of wine before my reunion and thankfully no one saw me being sick on the street later Blush
