!!! make up experts - help!

blonde, light but not platinum, more a yellow/gold, long

blue eyes, mix between grey/blue

skin, can go red on cheeks, veins, combo skin

• what colours should i go for, for a nice photo? hate lipstick but would consider gloss and to try and look a bit slimmer if possible

• would either be wearing black or red top

• thinking, mascara, eyeshadow, foundation and gloss, but no idea of colours, got to be basic as i am not skilled in any way!

also . needs to be buyable at boots/tesco kind of shops, not a make up wearer so after this, will end up in a drawer until the next forray

For photos it will look best if there is some colour on your lips, regardless that you don't normally wear it. Smudgy eyeliner will also help emphasise your eyes, perhaps in a colour to match your eyeshadow.

It really depends what look you are going for and how much photoshopping you are intending on having done to the pictures afterwards.

If the photo is mainly head shop then consider not wearing anything up top, so it's just your shoulders, neck, face and hair.

Remember to curl your eye lashes for maximum light into the eyes to give them sparkle.

Oh - forgot to add, black and white photos are much more flattering than colour!
