What do you wear on your feet with coloured skinnies?

I live in Converse but am worried I'll look like a children's TV presenter if I wear them with coloured skinnies. I quite fancy some of those Isabel Marant style boots - any ideas for where to get that style quite cheap in case they don't go? What else might work?

I wear ballet pumps or sandals in a range of colour depending on colour of the skinnies. I have gold, silver and nude ballet pumps and sandals which I think match most colours.

I wear either ballet flats or sandals.
