I want to buy some brilliant tweezers - which brand are best?

I have mega eyebrows which which grow in a single mono-brow if I let them.

I have a couple of different pairs of tweezers, but the basic pair I have are a bit slippy and the no.7 pair often snaps the hair at the skin level without removing the hair follicle. There must be some really good ones somewhere, right?

So tell me your recommendations please, I don't mind if they cost a lot, because I use tweezers every day!

tweezerman. only ones worth having. A professional shape (threading is best) every so often really helps, maybe once every 6 weeks or so.

whenyouseeitwaveorcheer · 05/07/2012 20:29

I have had my tweezermans for about 13 years now and they are amazing.

I believe you can send them off for free sharpening - in 13 years I've never done this and they are still really, really good.

Would highly recommend.

Also, mine are bright pink, which is why I think I haven't lost them in 13 years Grin

I agree with bonzo

PoppyWearer · 05/07/2012 20:30

Definitely Tweezerman.

ProcrastinationAteMyMorning · 05/07/2012 20:32

yup tweezerman. worth every penny.

ArtVandelay · 05/07/2012 20:32

Tweezerman are brilliant and they come in different colours and special editions, for tweezer afficionados :)

I once got some good ones at Space NK but I can't recall the brand.

Dolallytats · 05/07/2012 20:32

I'm going to agree with Tweezerman. They are quite expensive for tweezers, but last for years and years. Think I've had mine for 6-7 years so far and they're like new.

CaptainVonTrapp · 05/07/2012 20:33

Tweezerman. Worth every penny. The teenage boy in Boots who sold me mine nearly choked when the price came up for a pair of tweezers!

hpsaucy · 05/07/2012 20:35

another for Tweezerman

Catsmamma · 05/07/2012 20:36

i got some bargain tweezermans in Boots once, they were bright pink and have been missing for a while

glowers at whenyouseeit and wonders

;)

My current faves are mrmascara from superdrug, they are white and they are totally pointy like medical forceps....and are A-Mazing, I no longer mourn my tweezermans they are so fabulous! :D

forcookssake · 05/07/2012 20:36

Excellent! Thanks you guys! I knew I could count on MN for a rapid response, plus glad there seems to be consensus.

Tweezerman here I come Grin

I must be the only person in the world that hated Tweezermans! What a waste of £15.

Superdrug ones are much better imo.

hackneybird · 05/07/2012 21:15

Tweezerman

PuffPants · 06/07/2012 15:17

Anyone mentioned Tweezerman? Grin

On my second pair, but first pair lasted about ten years without sharpening. Only needed new ones because I dropped the old ones and blunted them.

poppedoutforapintofmilk · 06/07/2012 18:17

No puffpants don't think anyone has mentioned Tweezerman. I like them too - wonder if we're the only ones?!LOL
