Funeral Hat Help Please

Can you help me find a funeral hat?

My darling sweet funny MIL died on monday after a brief illness. We are having a short internement ceremony followed by a sort of memorial service at her church (she would have HATED a coffin on display etc.)

She always wore a hat to chapel and most of the women there will wear a hat too, so I'd like to, sort of out of respect for her as much as anything.

I intend to wear a black cotton shirtwaist dress which is faintly 50s in style.

I have long red hair. I don't want the hat to be all glam and look-at-me-ish (I do have a cute one with a veil but that would be totally not in keeping).

Can someone please find me one? I was thinking straw maybe? Oh I dunno. Not too spensive either, and I wear a lot of vintage so a second hand one's fine...

Black straw would be nice and useful in future. I have a sort of pork pie / Eliza Doolittle one and I have a couple of different hatbands I've crocheted in different colours to suit different outfits.
A quick search on Google Shopping under black straw hat points to at Asda.

And Claire's has some pretty ones.

Oh hello Silk - thanks for that. I really like it, and you're right: it would be useful in the future. Do you think it would look too beachy in a church?? Mind you I'm wearing a dress and not a trouser suit or anything. I wonder if Asda delivers...

Black ribbon would be sweet and probably what I would opt for but they're a very 'hattish' church and I'd like to simultaneously fit in AND do what she would've wanted AND do her justice, IYSWIM . Great news that Asda delivers (there isn't one for miles around).
