I am going on holiday for just under 3 weeks to the Southern US and it will be HOT and very humid. We'll spend a lot of time around the pool/beach and I think I need some kind of coverup to walk to and fro.

I think I'd really like a white oversized shirt which I could roll up the sleeves of, and perhaps even wear with denim shorts & leather flip flops if popping out for lunch, etc but am struggling to find one tat I like. And preferably on eBay...

I don't want any kind of sheer floral wafty thing as that's just not very me but I'm open to other suggestions - what do you all recommend? Or have you seen any nice short-style cover ups?

TIA

What you have in mind sounds ideal. I have a kaftan thingy that I bought in Primark about 5 years ago. I only ever wear it on holiday.

Calvin Klein men's undershirts are fab. Nice slouchy look a la Alexander Wang/LnA and you an get a pack of 3 for less than £20 at TK Maxx or Costco. 100% cotton and they shrink a little which gives it a nice fit

Thanks - by undershirts do you mean t-shirts? Do they not look a bit shapeless? Am also worried about wet t-shirt compo comments on the way back from the pool! Oh, never mind.... Grin

Yes, t- shirts. When they shrink it becomes more fitted but with a boxy shape. I've seen similar tees by Acne, Wang and LnA for £££

Aha, thanks. Will have a look next time I'm in TK Maxx.

Just got back from Hols. I wore a beach dress I bought from monsoon every day to the pool. It is navy blue with a draw string waist and mullet hem. About £35. It was comfy and could be dressed up

Bumping for any more beach cover up ideas!
