Rightio ladies, for all of you who would like to confess to clothes in your cupboard that you haven't worn or wore once but never again but they are too beautiful and/or expensive to give away.
I'll start the ball rolling:
Zara feather dress (90 quid) - bought in SATC frenzy moment - worn once.
Zara Kate Middleton lace dress (69 pounds) - worn once on my anniversary.
Long slip evening gown - bought pre-pregnancy when I didn't have a belly, then got pregnant. A year after baby I am still hoping to lose more weight so I can fit into it.
Any more? Make me feel better! And let's not even get started on the beauty products...

Both of those sound lovely - tempted to ask you what size and buy them off your - but then they'd just be in my wardrobe instead of yours and still not be being worn.

Not quite the same but my lovely maxi dress I bought which haven't been able to wear due to bloody Yorkshire weather

Also a lovely topshop blazer (£40, a lot for me) - never worn, as never slimmed into it as promised i would...

VW Anglomania dress bought in NAP sale just before my DD arrived - she is 1 on Sunday. She is a little boob monster so haven't been able to get out long enough to wear it.
Gold LK Bennett Annina handbag which I made a lot of noise about justifying to my DH because it would be so useful. Have carried it a couple of times. Still love it though!

I am strict with myself. If I buy something new, I hang it in wardrobe with tags still on and if I haven't worn it within a couple of weeks... Back it goes!
Odd things have slipped through net:
French Connection jersey dress - worn once - feels a little too big
LK Bennett shoes - worn once - very high
Next white linen trousers - never worn due to feckin rain.

I do that too Meggles.

Well not new but a beautiful dress that my parents bought as a present for my grandma. She never wore it and after she died I rescued it. It has it's original labels (came from some posh London shop I'm led to believe). One day I will fit into it, and I will find somewhere to wear it.

Pootles2010 · 05/07/2012 08:24

Wheres - have you thought about displaying some of the more beautiful bits? Depending on wall space in your bedroom of course, i think a beautiful dress hung up or a pair of stunning louboutin's on a floating shelf could look quite good?

Rockchick1984 · 05/07/2012 08:37

Expensive for my current budget - bought a gorgeous pair of jeans for £50-ish towards the end of my pregnancy in pre baby size 8 (had gone up to a maternity 14 by that point) to motivate me to lose baby weight - still in the wardrobe 16 months later!

Expensive for my budget at the time - Nichole Fahri dress for £400, utterly beautiful and I feel like a Disney fairy in it. Wore it once and spent the evening terrified of spilling something on it, so didn't wear it again. Have now decided that if I ever slim down enough to wear it again, I'm just going to wear it - better a stain than moths or something!!!

A tulip skirt.
