All you beautiful mumsnetters ......

When you are on your summer holidays in a warm country, what make up do you apply when going out for the evening?

basics are:
moisturiser,
bronzer (cheapy Boots 17 one as recommended by Sali Hughes)
lip gloss (Mac Lipglass in Lust or Rimmel's Stay Glossy in Stay My Rose)
mascara

if I am in the mood for a little colour, I use either a blue-y/green Max Factor shadow(think peacock colours) on my upper lid but quite close in to the lash line, then enhance with eye liner in a similar shade. I also have a gorgeous pale blue sparkly pigment shadow from Mac which I wear in the same style but with Mac's Deep Truth as liner.

I do eyeshadow used as liner with a brush, lots of mascara. If you put a little lipcote over the liner, it holds fast. A litle bit of BB cream and my cheapo benetint ripoff, pussytint.

AmazingDisgrace · 04/07/2012 15:24

I now regret googling pussytint

I'm going to get my eyelashes tinted and permed before i go on holiday, that way no panda eye's by the pool and i won't have to worry about taking my curlers Grin

:o AD!

I have Benefit ripoff from Superdrug's 2True range. It's safe to google.

I always apply a golden oil to my legs before going out in the evening, if I am lacking colour it makes them look better and if I am bronze they look amazing! I personally like this one as it smells beautiful. www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.201344/walk.yah.ukBR~UKMC#BVRRWidgetID enjoy your holiday!

Oooooh I like the idea of lipcote to set the eyeliner - good tip.

I was trawling the beauty counters today trying to work out a minimal make-up selection to take on my hols, instead of my big bag of products!

I still have to use tinted moisturiser or foundation until i have a bit of colour.
