Help - Girls swimwear

I need help! My DD is bigger and taller than average and trying to find a costume she likes and that fits is becoming a nightmare!! She is like me in that she needs a longer length torso wise. We did buy a lovely one from Debenhams but its a halter-neck and was just too uncomfortable around her neck.

I know this sounds trivial, but I really have tried everywhere I can think of and nothing is suitable etc - we go on holiday in just over 3 weeks!!

TIA

Have you tried Lands End? They have a sale on at the moment and have some nice two piece tankini types. I get these types for my DD as she is very tall + slim but only 7yrs. I have to buy 11-12yrs so I am struggling in the high street for 'appropriate' swimwear. I am also impressed with Lands End quality too. HTH

How old is she/what size are we looking for?

I was going to say tankini too-dinky beat me to it.

My tall 6 year old DD wears a size 8 yrs and my 4 yr old DD wears a size 6 yrs from John Lewis. I am six foot and looks like they've both inherited my length of back. Would a tankini fit the bill? Both my girls would love a tankini - I hate them but can see the advantages!

ANd you both beat me to the tankini suggestion!

I was coming on to suggest Lands End too. DD1 has some of their swimsuits. I'd size up though - mine is small for her age and really could have done with the next size up. I'd possibly go 2 sizes up as your DD is tall. The tankinis would be a good option too and not too pricey in the sale.

Hmm well I bought a size up for my DD (long back) from Lands End and it was fine length-wise but looked like she was wearing a bag as it was far too wide!
