Shoe help please

I'm after some black shoe boot thingies. I'd like them to be high enough to look dressy but not so high that I can't walk in them (am v bad inheels generally) and they will have to be pretty comfortable. A tiny platform would be good. I want to look dressed up but not hooker-ish and will be wearing them with black opaques and a dress that is just above the knee, rather than full on mini. Any ideas please?

I know it's the wrong time of year but I'm hoping that the Autumn stock might be coming in soon and I don't need them urgently - want them ready for a wedding in September.

Ideally 60 pounds or less.

Thank you in advance. :)

Thank you.

I AM a four but don't like the Dune ones - too librarian-ish. Don't like the Gabor ones at all - too shiny and too Miss Jean Brodie.

The New Look ones are much more what I'm after but too high; I think I'd kill myself in them. But the shape is much, much better.

The Camper ones are hideous - sorry, but they are!

I've not explained myself very well, I think. I want party-ish, not work-ish and sexy-ish, not frumpy.

Like this but not as high is the kind of thing I'm after, if it exists.

Thank you. Need to go to a real shop though, as I have small and narrow feet and sometimes need a 3 and sometimes a 4 - can't be doing with faffing around ordering different sizes and sending back. Am in Birmingham so have most shops available in real life.

Oh right! Yes, they're nice.

Really thought you were steering into camper territory Shock Awful weren't they.

Clarks used to have <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1281&bih=702&tbm=isch&tbnid=68Fptoe-RtZCHM:&imgrefurl=www.measureyourbrasize.com/latest-products/mary-portas-clarks-shoes.html&docid=3zd4vIupEv4_3M&imgurl=www.measureyourbrasize.com/latest-products/images/La-Antoinette-Ankle-Boots.jpg&w=288&h=384&ei=0UHzT_PjJYWZ8gOTzKXcCQ&zoom=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">these- there may be some more in store?

Do you do eBay?

tethersend · 03/07/2012 20:04

And hello BTW!

tethersend · 03/07/2012 20:07

Asos

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/07/2012 20:07

God no to Camper territory!

Clarks link not working for me for some reason. No to Ebay - need a real shop.

And hello to you too, Tethers. How the heck are you?

Clarks again

Am fine, thanks.

Covered in baby sick, but enjoying maternity leave Wink

How are you?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/07/2012 20:23

Clarks ones are pretty good - will look instore.

I'm fine, thanks. Wouldn't say no to a bit of baby sick OR to some maternity leave - have been feeling rather broody but am far too old to think of such things! :)
