Can I return this? (GAP top)

I picked up two tops in the GAP sale on Saturday. One looked terrible on me when I tried it on so I put it back in the bag to be returned. The other looked nice and felt really comfortable; I was happy with it so I put it away to be worn. I wore it the next day but didn't have a long time to get dressed (DP was impatiently waiting!)

A couple of hours later DP pointed out that there was a hole in the armpit and it's quite a large one - about 1 1/2 inches - I don't know how I didn't notice it! I had to continue wearing the top until we got home as I had nothing to change into but when I got home I found the label that I'd taken off that morning. I looked more closely at the hole and it looks as though there was just never any stitching there - there aren't any loose threads in the area at all.

I've never returned anything that I've worn before for being faulty so I was wondering how I'd go about this? I'm happy to do a straight exchange of the worn, faulty top for another of the same (minus fault, obviously) but I also want to return the other top I bought, preferably for a refund/store credit.

Just take them both in and tell them what you have said here. Gap are very easy with returns.

Thanks! I always worry they'd think I was lying or something :/
