AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/07/2012 21:43

DD is not so keen on princess though, do you have a workshop on pond dipping and tree climbing? they are her two favourite things atm and se would love to meet likeminded friends.

Dotty342kids · 02/07/2012 21:43

Is it ok if my son enters in drag?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/07/2012 21:44

My 10yo DD is so beautiful that people stop me in the street to tell me.
She's a gymnast and is tall and slender- but worries she is fat Sad - leotards are very unforgiving.

I wouldn't let her do anything like these 'pageants'.
What would they do for her self esteem?

ivykaty44 · 02/07/2012 21:44

fancy putting your email and telephone number on your facebook page....?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/07/2012 21:44

"This is so funny. Pageant coach does not see any little girl as ugly.

That's told you ferret!"

They're all winners!!

FFS, which idiot suggested you advertise on here?

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 02/07/2012 21:49

How does entering a pageant increase a girls confidence? Is the OP saying that make up etc on 3 -11 year olds is the way to increase their confidence?

Really? How shallow.

Are there any non-girlie goodies on offer?

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 02/07/2012 21:51

PS, Can boys enter - I have a little son who scrubs up very well in his Little Lord Fauntleroy velvet britches and blonde curls.

StillSquiffy · 02/07/2012 21:51

Perhaps you could get Peter Andre to be a judge? He really loves kids, you know, and his own management are just as clued up on MN demographics as you are.

lovebunny · 02/07/2012 21:51

i have but she's thirty now. she wouldn't have been in a pageant anyway.

SaggyTitsAndHairyToes · 02/07/2012 21:51

I went shopping today and i was Shock at the amount of clothes for my toddler which were only suitable for a 10/11 year old girl!

I dont want her to look sexy/trendy just being a litlle girl dressed in appropriate clothing would be nice.

I found 3 dresses which were suitable for a toddler!

what the hell is this all about?
what messages are we sending out to girls 18 months +?
