Shower Gel, Shampoo etc.

Morning all,

I am off on a two summer week holiday with my DP and DC next week, and I always end up taking far too much!

What I want to know is how much shower gel would you take for three people?

Also, how much shampoo would you take for three people?

I am doing a toiletries shop tomorrow, and want to try and be realistic instead of buying too much!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would be tempted to take something that could double as shampoo/showergel and just take one thing.

Asda do a top to toe baby wash that is extra cheap maybe investigate. Otherwise go to Boots/ Superdrug and buy some minis.

Get thee a shampoo bar from Lush - they last for ages and don't take up much space, plus it solves the problem of leakage. I'd go for a few small chunks of soap too, maybe a 100g chunk for each of you. Get a cheap body puff so the soap goes foamy and you won't notice much difference that way if you're used to shower gel.

That's what we do, which saves space for a humongous bottle of liquid conditioner.

unless you have v. specific requirements (skin allergies etc) I would buy once you get there. big cheap bottles, use as much as you like then abandon them there! No worrying about leaking bottles, weight etc.

if it has to be home grown buy something from Duty Free? they usually have a Boots airside.

Thank you for your replies, I like the soap idea, I might try tomorrow morning with a bar of imperial!!!

Well, I did the soap test, and my bar of Imperial Leather lathered up beautifully, so that is what is being taken on my hols, no leakage!!
