Zoom whitening – is it worth it?

I am interested in hearing from ladies who have had this done ? I have been quoted £450 which seems a lot but if it works I am willing to attempt to save up and get it done. Am pregnant at the minute so would need to wait a good few months anyway. For the price I would want a Hollywood smile ? also if anyone can recommend where they had it done I would consider travelling even though based in North West. TIA

I have just had zoom2 whitening, via Groupon so £120, I think your quote is in the right ball park for typical prices though.

I definitely don't have a Hollywood smile, it went about 4 shades whiter and they encouraged me to get the home kit. My teeth were grey, apparently, not yellowed, which is harder to whiten - it seems the result would have been better if I had yellow teeth. So it's worth seeing a dentist first to see what kind of discolouration you have. I don't think I'd get a full Hollywood smile through whitening alone though, they tend to be veneers I think.
I spoke to a dentist friend who also said it is much better to do it through a home kit.

It was pretty sensitive for the first few hours afterwards (random shooting pangs), but I managed to go to the gym in the evening without problems and by next day it had returned to normal.

I am going to get a home kit now, but online. I don't regret doing the zoom as it gave an instant result, but I'd probably encourage others to just go for the home kits as you can get the same result.

I had Zoom last year by my dentist (she specializes in cosmetic dentistry). It didn't work at all.

She said sometimes it doesn't but that meant I had very strong enamelGrin

Then I had the trays and gel to use at home with excellent results. They went really quite light (though the sensitivity drove me bonkers)

They have faded somewhat now but I still get compliments on my gnashers, makes me feel like the expense and discomfort were worth it in the end.

Good luck!

I found Crest Whites painful.

Zoom would kill me, wouldn't it? Hmm

(Sorry for the highjack)
