Cracked feet help

DH has terribly painful cracked heels. I want to get him a cream to help with it today but no idea what to get, he needs something heavy duty! Anyone know? Thanks

the cracked heel cream from superdrug in pink and white box, has highest concentration of urea of any cream, more than flexitol and all those others!

Flexitol heel balm, you can get it in Boots. I would also get a foot file to remove some of the dead dry skin.

I second Flexitol - it's the only stuff I've found that works. I also occasionally cover feet with Vaseline, cling film wrap them and leave for 30 minutes or overnight with socks on to soften them up. (not sure how your DH would feel about that though!)

The scholl foot file is good. some sort of pumice type thing in the bath can help. But mostly flexitol or similar urea-containing cream as everyone else says. Also, for bad cracks it's very helpful to use plasters on the worst (though can be hard to stick to a flexitol'd foot) - reduces the movement and (urgghh) stops bits of sock getting into the crack which can be really painful.

Another vote for Flexitol, at least twice a day. And get a scrubby or Ped Egg type thing to remove the hard skin first - use after a good soak in warm water

Filing is the answer too!!! Do it outside though as the skin flies everywhere.....so yeah file, get rid of all the dead skin, smother in moisturiser and then put one of those sock things on. You will have lovely feet in no time.

My feet used to be rank and dry but then I took up a sport which meant my feet are on show a lot so I started looking after them....they are fine now :)

Anything with Urea in it. The Dr Scholls stuff doesn't smell too heinous.

So, soak, file, slather. Do this for a couple of days and cracked heels should be gone.

Also, do not let him do what my DH did, which was file so much skin off his feet he had blisters for 2 weeks from walking in shoes on baby fresh skin. Idiot.

I bought 'Baby Foot' from Amazon. Tried all sorts of files and cream but nothing seemed to work.

Had to sit for 2 hours with my feet in these funny plastic slipper things that had liquid in. 2 days later the skin started to peel away (just like sunburnt skin).

Whilst it hasn't gotten rid of every bit of dry skin, it's got me to a point where the cream and foot files will actually do something!

I did consider trying it on my body and seeing if I could drop a couple of dress sizes Wink
