Straight unmanageable hair help please?

My hair is poker straight and fine but not thin. My problem is it just doesn't do anything. I end up getting it cut into a bob every few years then letting it grow again (it's almost to my elbows now and I don't really want to cut it again as it doesn't fix the problem). So I am purchasing a babyliss big hair from Amazon tonight and as it's my birthday soon I'll ask for some GHDs so I can start attempting to do something with it other than tie it in a ponytail.

However, I'd like some advice on what you think the best products would be to help my hair behave better. I don't leave it down as it gets knotted and tangled so easily and is a nightmare to brush (dh thought I was a wimp until I asked him to brush my hair for me and he couldn't get the brush through it!)

I see women with lovely soft swooshy hair that doesn't look stringy and tangled like mine and I just want to know how they do that! Do they use hairspray or gel/mousse? Or is there something they put in their hair when it's damp?

thank you!

They have used GHDs. Honestly, it is that easy.

Really? That makes me very very hopeful Wink I may come back and swoosh my hair at you all in happiness if it works! Grin

I'm swooshing tonight with help of my babyliss big hair purchased yesterday! Love it already (see my other post) Ghd are bril but I've just got fed up of the "doing nothing" look that they made my hair do :-( Babyliss rocks (in my one day experience!)

That's good to hear, I like the look of the babyliss big hair as my hair is very flat and I could do with a change. Grin
