Help with my (not really a) wedding dress!

I'm getting married at the beginning of September, and am going shopping for a dress tomorrow (!) It is going to be a very low-key wedding, just me, DP and a handful of witnesses. I am planning to wear a nice dress, but nothing too bridal as it is very informal and I don't want the whole traditional wedding anyway.

I'm thinking knee-length, in a summery colour and not all-white - I'll probably re-wear the dress to other people's weddings. I'm planning to wear a little cropped jacket, so probably not v-neck as this will create a weird neckline. I'm a slightly pear-shaped size 8-10, so high waists suit me well.

My budget is ~£200, I'm planning to look in Ted Baker, Coast, Monsoon, Anthropologie and a couple of department stores. I have already looked in Karen Millen and Reiss and didn't find anything I like. Please let me know if you have any other shop suggestions I haven't thought of - I'm in London so can get most places.

I'm getting married water-side, outdoors in California, so it might be quite sunny but could also be breezy.

Have you had a look in Reiss? They have some beautiful dresses in their sale atm.

If you are going to department stores, I reckon Fenwicks will be your best bet. mercifully small, with a nice range of fairly unusual brands, and tending towards feminine and pretty rather than edgy (which I am guessing is what you are after if you are going to Anthropologie). Also, fabulous powder rooms.

I don't know if their your style but Vivien of Holloway dresses are lovely and come in all sorts of prints. They also have a shop in London, and the staff are so helpful. My DF got her wedding dress there, but was plain ivory.

Congratulations and good luck!
