Lipstick

I want to go back to wearing lipstick (after years of using lip gloss) but don't know where to begin! Must be 10 years since I bought a lipstick.

It must be soft and moisturising with a sheer effect, like a cross between lipstick and lip gloss iyswim.

I don't mind reapplying often.

Any nice ones out there?

Upscale: Chanel Coco Rouge Shine.
Almost the same but a lot cheaper: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters (from Boots).
But don't ask me, I'm a lipstick junkie

I like the revlon too, and i don't like lipstick generally.

Chanel Coco Rouge - the regular type rather than "shine" version.

Clinique Chubby Sticks. They've just released a load of new colours. :)

MAC do a nice range and I've just bought a L'Oreal one which is OK.

Revlon lip butter in lollipop - but it is a very bright fuschia pink.

Chanel coco rouge gets my vote.
Do also love the clarins one in the gold packaging- says its long lasting but is lovely and creamy. Beautiful shades too!
MAC do a nice double ended one- the end with the colour goes on and then sets, but does not feel drying like some others, then the other end is gloss which could be right up your street. The colours are fairly neutral really- some colours are like your lip colour but better. Last wonderfully!
Cheapie- revlon lip butters are good- don't last terribly well but are often in 3 for 2 in boots and could well be a good starting point....
Couldn't miss out on the other fav- bobbi brown- so many colours and finishes! Lovely!!!
Welcome back to the lipstick world....... I swapped back from gloss last year And have baskets of them now have quite a few- great fun trying new colours and formulations!

I'm a Chanel Coco Rouge fan, have about 10 of them. And really love them.
But for a lipstick rookie I'd recommend the Coco Rouge Shine (sheerer, needs to be reapplied more often - much closer to gloss).
