Need tights to make horrible legs presentable. What to wear with skirt/dress and strappy shoes? Recommendations please?

That says it all really!

I sometimes go for the dress with leggings look but also have a couple of smarter dresses and leggings just look wrong.
I don't like the look of footless tights so investigating other options and considering open toe tights or ones with sheer toes...

Any recommendations please? Or other ideas I've not considered yet?

Fred & Florence for nude tights, they are cheap but look good & last longer than more expensive ones.

Eliza, I've never thought of wearing fishnets - are they comfortable? Don't get your toes get stuck through the holes?!

Dilys, is the leg make up like fake tan? i've not had great success applying that without getting patches before... Is this easy?!

Bought some great sheer toe tights in Asda last week. Oiled look apparently, but they just looked very natural with sandals, and good value.

I second sally hansen leg makeup, it is so easy to use. You could literally not make a hash of it.

I used it for the first time about 15 minutes before going out on boxing day and it looked great.

Sall Hansen Airbrush legs is FABULOUS and not at all streaky. Looks like very sheer tights - it's not a tan - it evens out skin tone etc. You'd have to pry mine from my COLD DEAD fingers.

Savers do a cheaper version but I havent run out so I cant try it.

Mac does a body foundation is pretty good.

I mix Sally Hansen spray on tights with moisutriser and bend in. It is pretty impressive.

I think 'natural' tights are just so wrong, sorry.

Thing is tights stop your feet getting all rubbed and blistered in high heeled sandals etc.

I like those F&f nude ones, as well.

Open toe shoes/sandals with any kind of tights just look wrong to me, unless the wearer is trying to be edgy (or whatever you'd call it).

Otherwise, I rather like pale fishnets. I've had some that don't cut off the circulation to your toes; probably from M&S seeing as that's pretty much the only place I buy tights from.

I won't tell you what I'm wearing now tho because I look shit, so you might choose to ignore

But really really fine tights are pretty much invisible.

M&S do tights that have the toe bit missing so you can wear them with open toed shoes - they are fab! I wear them for work with peep toe shoes and you can't see the tights at all

Nude micronets - no toe sticking problem, tough as nails, look good

Mine were probably nude micronets, yes. Although I've had some nude normal ones too.

I don't think there's much point in pretending you're not wearing tights.

having said that it's perfectly possible that I've just not noticed other people wearing toeless tights, they're that good. I'd ladder them within seconds though.

Can anyone recommend a good pair of micronets?
