Wedding outfits for boys

We have had a lovely surprise wedding invitation for during the summer holidays.

My DSs are 9 & 11, not "cute" little boys anymore, but a long way from men. They have no interest or opinion on what they wear.

Anyway, my question is just how formal do they need to be? I'd rather not be buying them things they never wear again.

DS2 has some good chinos and a smart checked shirt, would that be OK with polished up school shoes?

DS1 is starting secondary school in Sept, so will have new uniform comprising black trousers and black blazer (which I can sew badge onto after the wedding). Do you think that would be OK with a smart striped shirt? Does he need a tie?

My 8 yr old DS is wearing chino's, short sleeve shirt andthese boots to his uncles wedding.

I think the outfits you have described sound fine.
