New thread!

The fake tan is on (with requisite orange patches, naturally) and hair is done. I'm on countdown to Big Night Out, aware that will have to get ready whilst putting 2 DC to bed.

40bum lady is wearing my black suede Zara sandals today. I heartily recommend. She goes out a lot, doesn't she?! Envy. I have a wardrobe full of going out clothes but not enough occasions to wear them all!

bloss is right: coats and warm jackets are the way forward. I am stupid; I have 20 odd blazers and lightweight jackets perfect for May to September but only 1 jacket and 2 coats I like for September to April. Must rectify.

Have you seen the SNL [http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xqmofb_saturday-night-live-fifty-shades-of-grey_shortfilms skit]] of 50 Shades of Grey? :o

Decameron · 07/07/2012 16:31

Link

blossoming · 07/07/2012 16:42

I'm back and see fritzi has beaten me to the comment about emo and the contrast between the orange jumpsuit and her beautiful clothes!

Are you going back to Scandinavia dona? Went travelling round those parts to celebrate my 30th. Loved it.

Kaloobear · 07/07/2012 17:00

Babypoo! BlushWink Actually that sounds perfect as it's what I'm mostly covered in at the mo. That or baby vomit. Which could also be an Autumn colour now I think about it...

pickledsiblings · 07/07/2012 17:29

Annie, how did DD's ballet go today? Was it a show or an exam? My DD had a french horn exam today which she enjoyed Hmm, ballet exam next week.

I love Emo in the orange jumpsuit.

Anybody care to guess at what season I am? What happens next with the HoC stuff Hopefully and Everything?

As DH has been away for most of the week, I've decided not to click on your 50SoG link Decam Smile.

Decameron · 07/07/2012 18:03

DH is not required, Pickled! I love SNL. Have not read the book and don't think I'll bother.

Cool trousers, Blue.

Decameron · 07/07/2012 18:12

I had to read Marquis de Sade in university, did you, Bloss?

Agree, Emo looks fab in an orange jumpsuit.

blossoming · 07/07/2012 18:20

No haven't read that decam.
I'm not good with 'good' books. I need escapism. Just started a new board on the subject!

Decameron · 07/07/2012 18:28

I didn't read it out of choice. It is not really a genre I enjoy. I still remember the tutorial though!

MarshaBrady · 07/07/2012 18:31

We had to do Story of O in art/pornography/blasphemy and something.

AntPants1 · 07/07/2012 18:46

I have just started 50 shades....blimey. Porn written in the style of a breathy school girl. What is it with all the "oh mys" !!! Most peculiar. It's not really my thing but everyone seems to have read it/ have an opinion and I do so hate to be off the bandwagon!!!!

Marquis de Sade. Blimey.

AntPants1 · 07/07/2012 18:55

Have just googled 120 days. Absolutely not.

I wish I had kept that orange jumpsuit - would be very useful for toddler mealtimes, trips to muddy park etc etc!

My fave cookbook is Nigella Kitchen.

blue that sounds like a great outfit last night. and I am with you on the black opaques - not that I haven't recently been tempted.

Hopefully · 07/07/2012 19:41

Blue outfit sounds fab. It is hard sometimes when hanging out with people who don't really get it. Animal print skinnies sound fab.

Grin at Ants blimeys at 50SoG. Haven't bothered reading it as I'm not sure I could force my way through it - am eternally suspicious of fad books after forcing my way through that Twilight heap of shit trilogy waiting for the good bit.

Went to town to try on shoes and possibly a couple of tops today and managed to spend £1.50 on a ring in TS. Bargainous, but not entirely what I'd call a successful shopping trip.

Hopefully · 07/07/2012 19:42

Number 1 cookbooks in this house are Nigel's kitchen diaries and Hugh Fearlessly-Eatsitall's everyday cookbook.

pickledsiblings · 07/07/2012 19:43

AT, your Part Ideas board is fantastic - seriously guys, you've got to look.

Decameron · 07/07/2012 19:45

It was quite disturbing, Ants.

I could do with one of those jumpsuits, DD2 likes to fling yoghurt.

I am following you back, Issima!

Bretonbee, you have the most fabulous shoes and bags.

I've just finished The Sealed Letter by Emma Donoghue, I liked it.

MarshaBrady · 07/07/2012 19:49

Oh yes glad the outfit was a hit Blue!

Following you too Issima

ReineDeSaba · 07/07/2012 19:52

Am decidedly squiffy after lovely afternoon of July 4th 'picnic'

Everyone with a toddler needs an orange jumpsuit emo

I possibly have 200 cookbooks..like Nigella but usually tweak her recipes a bit. Also like Anjum Anand,David Herbert,Slater. Also have a lot of U.S baking books.love my cups!

No shades of grey here.My bro in law on the States mentioned it months ago.thought it must be on my radar as a bored housewife with time on my hands!

Have enjoyed tipsily nosing through all the pinterest boards.

ReineDeSaba · 07/07/2012 19:54

suburban I think those sparkly newlook boots are cool but sold out in my size..bah!

Decameron Loved that clip. Very funny. Ants we had a similar discussion at Book Club. All the "my inner godness" stuff bugged me too. Along with the eye rolling and palm twitching, it was all v samey.

Reine was thinking we should all get those NL glitter boots and wear them to see Karim and his red boot wearing friend at the Spanish restaurant? They look like great boots in which to do a flamenco!
