New thread!

The fake tan is on (with requisite orange patches, naturally) and hair is done. I'm on countdown to Big Night Out, aware that will have to get ready whilst putting 2 DC to bed.

40bum lady is wearing my black suede Zara sandals today. I heartily recommend. She goes out a lot, doesn't she?! Envy. I have a wardrobe full of going out clothes but not enough occasions to wear them all!

bloss is right: coats and warm jackets are the way forward. I am stupid; I have 20 odd blazers and lightweight jackets perfect for May to September but only 1 jacket and 2 coats I like for September to April. Must rectify.

Barging in with THE RAGE. So merrily about to set off for my test, thought I'd better just check my licence is in my bag. Is it feck? Turned the house right over, and nothing. Went down there armed with paper part and my passport, marriage cert etc. but it was too much to expect any humanity. So no dice. Have ordered new licence, and am sulking. First my lost prize and now £50 up the swanny for new licence and rebooking the poxy test. And stupid R&B didn't reduce the shoes I wanted.

Will man up now and read thread.

Poor Amber! Lost my Italian ID recently, what a hassle. Had to go to the police station to report it missing. (Italian police officers surprisingly handsome and courteous. The thing that completely vowed me over: the police dog had a special bed in the room and was snoring gently when I was crossexamined...) The worst part was telling DH - he can be pretty stern, asking "Why did you lose it" and obviously also "Where did you lose it" Grin
Hope all goes well the next time round - maybe there will be lots of good shopping karma to compensate?
Hopefully I will wear my gold jogging leggings in support of your style decisions tonight Wink
Whoever suggested the chicken lentil tray bake, thanks, it was both easy and very tasty - loved the zing of the oven-cooked oranges. DH wolfed it up and asked me to cook it regularly. Feel free to post more yummy recipes!

AmberNectarine · 03/07/2012 15:03

I have gone through every bag and coat I own SE, no mean feat, an nothing. It has literally vanished. All I can thing is the baby removed it from my bag and dropped it somewhere, possibly on holiday. She is a beggar for that!

blue2711 · 03/07/2012 15:10

Thanks for the Bloch sympathies. I actually do really like them and find them extremely comfortable, much more so than my KG flats or Pretty Ballerinas (hmm, must eBay both) BUT just can't imagine buying another pair after this pair packing up so quickly. Really unimpressed with mywardrobe; they're normally really good. Think might start thread! Oh and I'm covering my eyes and pretending I never read that some of you wear fit flops... Wink.

Gorgeous links hopefully. You should get some gold jeans. I REALLY want some leather leggings but would need a stupendous code to even think about the Joseph ones. Still, onto my wish list board they go!

Happy anniversary decam!

I'm feeling very happy about a certain blue Gracie that will soon be winging its way to me... Thanks emo! Thanks

Sympathies amber. How irritating. dona your stern husband made me laugh! Mine is just the same and yet when he does silly things I have to be sympathy personified.

I am now officially allowed to BUY NOTHING else S/S. Feeling bit Blush after reading that 'how much have you spent this year?' thread. I'm with you amber; I wouldn't even dare say....

Amber, I have no idea where, when and how I lost. Checked all my bags about three times (this, like you know, is not a simple task) - nothing. And it didn't turn up after the visit to the police station (normally a surefire way to find lost items). So if you meet someone who shows her ID and tell she is DonaAna, let me know. It won't be me.

Blue I'm with you, no more spending for me this season, although I spotted several further very droolworthy items in the Matches sale. (And congratulations on the Mini Gracie.) Hey ho though - I know some people who spend very little on clothes, and, um, they do get their money's worth Confused
Procrastinating on doing returns. Italian post offices - first circle of hell. Equally hot, too.

alwaysrunninginheels · 03/07/2012 15:43

Oh amber that is really really rubbish! Bet it turns up soon though! When have you rebooked for?

MarshaBrady · 03/07/2012 16:21

Love those links Hopefully. Really lovely.

Dh always says well where did you last see it? Really helpful.

That cake pop thread, so close!

notyummy · 03/07/2012 16:48

Sorry to hear about your stress Amber- so annoying!

Glad you liked the chicken Dona!

Whilst buying my Zara dress I tried on their coated skinny Houilikies which were not flattering on me AT ALL. That said, the 10 fitted ok so hopefully the other jeans I gave ordered in a 10 will fit. We'll see.....

notyummy · 03/07/2012 16:49

No chance to look at your links yet Hopefully- looks like you have been busy tracking some special stuff down!

FritziGreenEyes · 03/07/2012 17:15

notyummy Zara trousers look all worng on me too. Hope your big sales order will arrive soon with lots of keepers!

dona Thanks for the information, I think we have the same size. The dress must really come up big as the sizing is French and if you got a 38 it would be a EUR 36, no? French size 36 is sold out anyway.

hopefully That's a lot of links. Do you have to get lots of new stuff to build a work wardrobe? I remember vividly when at the end of the style day A. took all her "armour" off and looked like a completely different and somewhat ordinary person. Sounds unbelievable but I'm sure YNWIM.

amber That sounds stressful. Hope you can retake your test soon!

MarshaBrady · 03/07/2012 17:25

Fritzi, Amber I saw this and thought of you both. Worlds collide. I love that top. It's the Marant iirc!

NY great skirt.

DonaAna · 03/07/2012 17:40

Fritzi, I'm getting used to the loose Marant 38, won't exchange. Must look like a bag lady Miranda Kerr ;)

For some strange reason, Zara cigarrette trousers fit me perfectly, Topshop Motos don't. The Houlialikes would be all wrong on a parsnipalike though - won't even dare try on.

AmberNectarine · 03/07/2012 18:15

Ooh I want a hat like MK's! she has the same buggy as me. We're probably doppelgängers...

MarshaBrady · 03/07/2012 18:23

Dona I tried to find a blonde sleb in your dress. And for some reason this does not exist.

But anyway here it is. And I love it loose!

All insouciant etc. I adore it.

notyummy · 03/07/2012 18:43

What great pics of MK and the Marant dress. Lovely.

blossoming · 03/07/2012 18:47

Well done on the leggings decam. My capris really bag by the end of the day, wish I could wear 901s every day.
I am waving weakly at you all from the sofa. My mum is putting dd in bed. Love all the pins. Why did we not do this ages ago?

blossoming · 03/07/2012 18:48

That Marant is the polar opposite of my style!

notyummy · 03/07/2012 18:54

I tried on this sequin dress in Zara. Seeing as I have still not worn the gold sequin dress I got at Christmas I have decided that perhaps I don't need this one too Blush TBH, it is a bit short on me, and would probably need to be worn over skinnies I think. Not sure about too many sequins - perhaps I am becoming the thread's Pat Butcher...?

Can't find the coated houil things I tried on online. They managed to make my legs look both short and fat. Whilst I may not have the thinnest legs around, hopefully those of you who have met me would agree that I don't have short legs! (That's not a stealth boast BTW - just a statment of fact for someone my height Grin)

This is the top I got - although the colour I got is sold out online. Worth looking if you are in store though. Quality is far, far better than the proces suggests.

notyummy · 03/07/2012 18:55

I still don't understand how to pin Blush. Have opened account, and have some boards, but don't know how I get anything on to the boards.

blue2711 · 03/07/2012 19:55

ny I was just the same as you, utterly flummoxed! DH had to help Blush. You need the pin it function in your favourites bar - this is v easy to do on a laptop if you just follow their instructions. More complicated on an iPad or iPhone but do-able. Good luck!

Or just copy and paste like you would to here! Go to your profile, click on add, add pin, copy and paste URL into box. Simples !

alwaysrunninginheels · 03/07/2012 20:28

blue how do you do it on the iPad??? Am loving flicking through wardrobes! Great for ideas!

MarshaBrady · 03/07/2012 20:28

Some of the sites I go on have little pin it icons next to the image.

Blue are you on as Blue?
