makeup brushes?

Can anyone recommend any makeup brush sets, preferably available on the high street but if not online? Reasonably priced would be great also

Royal Langnicken (or something) professional ones, they sell them on amazon, ones with black handle

MAC brushes are good, and No 7 ones aren't bad either if you're looking for something a bit more affordable.

I use the No 7 foundation brush for blending in tinted moisturiser, cream blusher and highlighter. I really like it - think it's a really nice shape and size. Then I use the body shop blusher brush for applying pressed powder (those sponges always put too much on). I also use the body shop lip/concealer brush for concealing any blemishes.

The MAC 212 and 217 brushes are my favourite for applying eyeshadow. I use the 212 for application and the 217 for blending.

Body Shop are the best. Great price, great quality and last forever. You dont need to pay more (say she who paid more and still uses the older BS ones)

The MAC 239 brush has sent all my other brushes to early retirement.

I got a MAC set on ebay - about 8 brushes and they were £20. I prefer Body Shop ones thought tbh - wait til they have a 50% off sale which they do, often!

No 7 fall apart when cleaned. If you want high street the Real Techniques brushes in Boots are brilliant-they're by the Pixiwoo ladies. They're well balanced, give lovely application, clean well and last. They're also fairly inexpensive-about £6-£20 I think. The stippling brush is awesome.

Other than them, I love Bobbi Brown brushes too.

boots/body shop are fine for synthetic (eg for concealer/foundation), but if you want real hair for powder you cant skimp, plus there is a difference between hand tied and not hand tied (cut)

i like ruby and millie but don't know if you can still get them! they haven't fallen apart yet

valium are you sure the mac ones are kosher? that's very cheap for MAC and they do have alot of knock off stuff on ebay

Another vote for the Bodyshop ones - they do a large smudger which I LOVE !!

I had 2 Bodyshop blusher brushes which did last for years- and they were okay.

Then I treated myself recently to Bobbi Brown and te difference is amazing the brush is rounded- doesn't go flat like the B Shop one, and I get a much more subtle build up of colour.

Yes it was £35 but after a year's use that's 1p a day.

Body Shop are brilliant and often have codes to use online.

Personally I won't use animal hair brushes.

I quite like EcoTools brushes. I bought some from Boots, and like them.

Best big bronzer brush in the world is Urban Decay's Big Buddha brush, sadly they have duscontinued it (why?) but it is available on ebay i think

body shop are the best, good quality, recommended.
